Charity Case Study:
The National Breast Cancer Research Institute
(NBCRI), based in Ireland, has partnered
with realbuzz since 2022 across a number
of major events and plays host to one of the
biggest team’s participating in the Irish Life
Dublin Marathon, annually. The event is one of
Europe’s most popular marathons and the only
closed road event of its kind through
the famous Irish capital.
FY 24 / 25 saw NBCRI send a team of 81
runners to the event, in collaboration with
realbuzz, raising €144,861 for the charity and
over €1.7k per runner, on average. This was
+19% more than the stated fundraising target
for runners of €1,500.

team thus far in the event, having grown

benefits for runners choosing to take
on the event for charity. Dozens of our
runners attended the realbuzz finisher
party at the Grayson which allowed us to
celebrate with them as well as engage
a wider network of causes and charity
runners from across the world.”
