Charity Case Study:
Meet
Make-a-Wish UK was one of the first charities
to join the ‘run with realbuzz’ programme in
2023 and has fast become one of the most
popular charities for runners when selecting
what cause to support. Last year, the charity
had over 141 active runners across 24
different event occurrences and 13 different
events. The ‘run with realbuzz’ programme
allows for coverage across multiple races
without laborious administration and
stewardship. Over 228 runners have selected
Make-a-Wish UK as their preferred cause
since the charity joined the programme.
“Coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic,
when fundraising had taken a huge dive,
we were looking for low-risk ways to get
runners into events. Gone were the days
where we could pay thousands of pounds
upfront for places, and risk not filling
them. That’s why the ‘run with realbuzz’
programme appealed to us so much.
It meant we could offer more events,
across a wider geographical spread, and
only pay for those who were committed
to take part.”

Make-a-Wish UK
